Lake Allatoona sun, sand, water

Too beautiful of a day to sit inside or stay home!
We hit a perfect spot on Lake Allatoona to spend a few hours.

..and she's crawling!

Autumn has been moving around for weeks now, rolling to get where she wants to go or doing a combination of stretching while on her belly and then pushing up to sitting, in various directions so she could move around. Yesterday was really the first time she crawled forward in the typical crawling fashion to get somewhere!

friday afternoons are the best!

It's not as sunny as we thought it would be, but we decided to go cardboard sledding anyway

Why would i risk being that close and waking her up? Haha. Such a sweet baby who doesn't seem to like sleeping much!

maybe she will learn to love it

After another crying fit in the bike trailer yesterday, Todd had the idea of putting it in the living room and letting her sit in it while playing, watching The Johns, etc. This little smile lasted about 5 minutes..lol.. small doses

Autumn's experience in her bike chariot

Let's get started... we'll start with yesterday's happenings:

2-12-2011

so we decided to buy a trailer carrier for Autumn to ride in on the bikes. here is a picture of one similar to what we bought (even tho there will be many pics of her in it in days to come):

so it was about naptime but decided to give it a try anyway, hoping she would fall asleep in it on our quick bike ride down to the trails in Legacy Park. Well, it started real good, with her just chilling in there like a little mardi gras princess (or as I said, she looked like she was in a little "pope-mobile") just sittin back, enjoying the sites. Well, not sure what changed her mood, if she just had enough of being sleepy and wanted to be held or what, or maybe todd hit a bump and it made her mad, but she started crying and well, what were we to do? Get her out of it and she's even more mad when you try to put her back in. So we decided to just high-tail it home and wow... she cried and she cried and she cried.. more than she's ever cried in her short life I am sure. We got to the house finally (the ride home is all uphill..whew!) and her eyes were buggin' out and she was red-faced and had spit bubbles all the way past her chin.

Let's hope if we attempt this again today, she won't hold it against the carrier that she had to cry for so long! haha

Bloggin Bout the Blammit Babes

So with all of the blog-speak goin on in my classes, I decided that I would attempt a blog about these Blanchard girls, maybe taking on the "Project 365" approach where I blog about something everyday, or post a video or a photo or all of the above. Just giving you folks with lots of interest in these 4 girls somewhere to go to get a daily dose of what they are up to!
